Ratatouille

RatatouilleToday, Michaela and I went with Debbie & Matt to see Ratatouille (rat-a-too-ee) or as Michaela calls it - Ratpatootee. I must say that the animation from Pixar is getting more and more impressive. You really do forget that you’re watching a cartoon. A few times during the show I had to lean over and ask Debbie if she was ok. Debbie has a deathly fear of any type of rodents. In a few scenes there were literally hundreds of them running around on the screen and she was clearly unsettled - despite the fact that these rats all had cute personalities, were funny and well, weren’t real. I won’t say too much as to not reveal too much of the movie but there were many laughs and I was entertained. I wouldn’t say that the story was as good as Finding Nemo or Monster’s Inc. Perhaps I need to see it again to figure out how I really feel about it. I liked it very much but I am not sure if I loved it. I will say that the animated short played before the movie was REALLY funny. I enjoyed that a lot!

Isaiah…Isaiah…Isaiah

“I had a person in human resources tell me after this thing played out that ’some people’ were afraid of me around the studio. I asked her why, because I’m a 6-foot-1, black man with dark skin and who doesn’t go around saying ‘Yessah, massa sir’ and ‘No sir, massa’ to everyone?”- Isaiah Washington

This guy just doesn’t know when to shut up about it, does he? Had he held his head up high and left with a little dignity, then maybe some of us would revolt enough to perhaps get ABC to reconsider their decision to let him go. I was pretty irked that he was gone. It left the whole storyline with Burke and Cristina up in the air and for a viewer that is really annoying! Now, I am starting to see why he was let go. He’s a loose cannon and really in love with himself, isn’t he? I have decided that those who cry out racism are the most racist/biggoted themselves. People can be intimidating, not because of their skin color but because of the way they carry themselves and behave. It’s obvious now that he was a liability which is sad because his character was enjoyable and added a dimension to the show that will be sorely lacking this fall.

Where In The World? Pt. II

I’ve been monitoring the Blogosphere stats today and thought I’d comment on a few things I have found. I noticed that I had a visitor from Namibia (I believe that is in Africa and where Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie had their baby) who found my site when searching for information about Grey’s Anatomy. Funny! So, either Brad and Angelina are back in Namibia surfing the internet or someone in Africa digs Grey’s as much as I do.

I installed the same statistics program on Nana’s blog and she loves to look at who is visiting and from where. I have had to explain a few times the difference between a hit and a visit. A visit is most important. A visit is counted each time an individual IP (or person) comes to your site. A hit is any piece of information that is downloaded from your site (i.e. a page, a photo, etc). So you can technically have 1 visit but have 10 hits at the same time. Well, I noticed 1 IP address had ONE visit and SEVENTY hits! I was like, “What the??” I checked it out and this IP address comes from an ISP in Washington D.C. So…what does that mean? Frankly, I don’t know… it could be a search engine but I don’t think it is because search engines like Google, Yahoo have their own set of IP addresses. Or it could be a really bored politician because in one visit, they pretty much visited every single page on the Blogosphere. They read the whole thing. Maybe it was the secret service! Ooh! Intrigue! Maybe it was Hillary! Boo! Hiss! You suck, “lady”…. Well, whomever you are, I am glad you stopped by and took the time to read everything. Maybe you can come back and actually leave a comment or two.

Stockholm, Sweden has been back a few times this month! Thanks for the read! Leave a comment next time. I don’t care if it’s not in english!  Rochester, NY was interested in my trip to Nauvoo - TWICE. So, welcome back! Richland, WA…I think I know who you are! Why don’t you write??

Well, anyway…it’s fun to see where all the traffic comes from. It seems that lots of folks are interested in Grey’s Anatomy and that’s cool. So am I. Let’s get a dialogue going, shall we? Because Isaiah Washington is off the show and has not been quiet about why he thinks he was let go. And TR Knight appears to be a catalyst which is interesting because his character of George, although one I like very much, he’s NOT the show. I mean…um, HELLO! It’s not George’s Anatomy. Sheesh.

Coulter-gate?

“Oh, yeah, I wouldn’t — I wouldn’t insult gays by comparing them to John Edwards.  That would be mean.  But about the same time, you know, Bill Maher was not joking and saying he wished Dick Cheney had been killed in a terrorist attack.  So I’ve learned my lesson.  If I’m going to say anything about John Edwards in the future I’ll just wish he had been killed in a terrorist assassination plot.” - Ann Coulter

Sarcasm is usually wasted on the weak minded and exploited by those with an agenda. Gotta love Chris Matthews - NOT. He clearly has an agenda. Matthews blatently set up Ann Coulter the other day by arranging a call-in by Mrs. John Edwards. Mrs. Edwards, of course was the likely choice to call in and scriptedly scold Coulter. Edwards, himself, isn’t man enough to do it anyway. If you look at the context of what Ms. Coulter said above, she clearly wasn’t saying that John Edwards should die in a terrorist attack like many in the media are reporting. She was saying that she should take a cue from Bill “freaking” Mahar who actually did say that about Vice President Cheney. Ann Coulter can be over the top sometimes but the liberals have got to stop whining. Their transparency is alarmingly annoying.
