We Love Rick Springfield

It’s no secret that on a personal level, I LOVE Rick Springfield and have been a fan for over 30 years. My very first rock concert was a Rick Springfield concert when I was 10. It has been my privilege to work with Yellow Rick Road Productions for the past 9 months while they have finalized their movie about Rick Springfield and the relationship he has with his fans - An Affair of the Heart. I have been their website/graphics designer and have assisted with their marketing of the film as it has prepared for its debut at the Florida Film Festival and later the Nashville Film Festival and HotDocs Film Festival in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Work is now beginning on getting the film into distribution so it can have a theater release and later DVD release.

In the midst of all this, it occurred to me that of all the years that I have been a website designer, that I have never done a fan site for Rick Springfield. While I do this for a living, I also have been known to create websites just for the fun of it. And this idea of mine was certainly for THE FUN OF IT – an impulsive decision that was born in December 2011. I call it a labor of love. It’s something that is currently evolving but ultimately my goal is to one day have this site be THE place for Rick Springfield fans to go to share their stories, their photos and their experiences with each other. The one thing that I have learned the past 9 months is that the Rick Springfield fan community is a pretty extraordinary group of people who not only love their favorite rock star but have a genuine compassion for each other. I invite you to visit the website – www.weloverickspringfield.com and take a look at the the fun going on over there. And if you’re on Facebook, please be sure to stop by the page and LIKE it!

The gallery below features customized original photography and graphic design for the We Love Rick Springfield website. As Rick visits each town on his tour, I commemorate the tour stop with a new “poster”. These posters are shared on show day on the Facebook page and are kept in a gallery on the website. I share them here to demonstrate my photographic and graphic design skills. I do NOT offer these for sale. They are created merely for the enjoyment of Rick Springfield fans everywhere. Enjoy!
